TVTool 9.7
|
|
Overview of the new features and changes in version 9.7:
Bugfix for resolution change after using TV mode On some PCs it could happen that the resolution was set incorrectly after a reboot, when TV mode has been used before. Instead of the normal work mode resolution the TV mode resolution was applied obviously. The is most likely caused by a bug in the nVidia drivers which don´t update some registry entries. To solve the problem TVTool offers a new option, which deletes the keys containing wrong information automatically and prevents the effect this way. This function can be found under the extended nView options:
The context menu function supports the file types OGM and MKV now, too. That means that an individual player can be assigned to each file type. So it´s possible to start movie playback with one mouse click on the option 'TVTool - Play on TV' for OGM and MKV files.
If there is demand for more files types, just let me know. These can be added quickly.
Signal bandwith option for Chrontel chips Chrontel chips offer the feature to make the bandwith of the luminance and the chrominance signal adjustable. So these signals can be adapted perfectly to each TV set to obtain maximum picture sharpness and crispyness. This feature is supported by TVTool now:
In position 3 the bandwith is set to maximum. Also a special amplifier for the luminance channed is active in position 3. This provides a further enhancement of the reproduction of picture details. It depends on the hardware used how much the effect will be visible. Especially when using s-video connection the improvment of picture quality can be significant as users reported who has tested the function in the run-up.
Since this version TVTool fully supports 2 analog monitors. With the button 'Analog B <> A' one can select which monitor is the primary and secondary device. If the button, which is only visible when 2 analog monitors are present, is not pressed, monitor A is used as the primary device and monitor B as the secondary. When the button is pressed the assignment is reversed.
The selection can be made for Work and Entertainment mode inidividually. This makes it possible to adjust exactly which monitor will be active parallel to the TV during Entertainment mode for example.
There were several user requests for a monitor power off button. Such a button has the advantage that one can turn off the monitor from the living room in front of the TV by using a cordless mouse easily when all adustments has been made. This request has been realized in version 9.7 now. The button can be found on the config tab next to the corresponding hotkey.
This version requires a new key. Shortly a newsletter will be sent which includes the latest userdatas. Also you can easily download the key for version 9.7 (and older versions) in the online member area any time! That´s it! Have fun with TVTool! :-)
