Sconi-Center Preview

 

Shortly the Sconi will get a completely new and independent software called Sconi Center. So far the software, which controlles the receiver, was included in TVTool and addressed users with nVidia graphics cards mainly. This will change with the Sconi Center, which is made to reach a completely new level of comfort, easy administration and flexibility. If you don´t know the Sconi yet: It is an infrared receiver for the USB bus, which makes it possible to control the PC resp. certain programs with any infrared remote control. Ok, let´s have a view on the graphics user interface of the program. Probably some details will still change until the first release version is ready, but you get a good impression of the design now already.

In the left part you can see the tree structure, where all buttons, program groups and actions are listed. In the upper right part the buttons of one or different remote controls can be learned. Below there is the field where actions are defined which are executed when a button on the remote control is pressed.

 

Overview of the most important features:

  • Sconi Center can learn an unlimited number of buttons of one or several remote controls!
  • The number of actions and program groups is also unlimited.
  • Buttons can be organized in program groups and global groups.
  • Sconi Center automatically choses the right prgram group depending on the application which is currently in use. So the same button on the remote control can be programmed differently for each program you use.
  • It is not required that the application you want to control is in the foreground anymore!
  • Program groups, buttons and actions can be moved easily by drag´n drop.
  • Quick mode for adding new buttons ultra fast
  • On Screen menu with fade out effect
  • You can assign an unlimited number of actions to each button.
  • Dummy buttons can be added and programmed later.
  • Sconi Center is independent from TVTool and nVidia graphics cards. You can use it with any hardware.

The software will be released shortly! The Sconi Center software will be available to "old" Sconi users for free of course, too! So stay tuned! :-)
