The Sconi can conveniently be plugged into the USB-port and your computer is ready to
receive signals from an infrared remote control. Because the receiver is highly sensitive,
it is not even necessary to aim the remote control directly at it - it works just as it
would with your TV. To achieve a maximum range, you can place the Sconi on top of your
PC - a USB extension cord will be delivered with your device for this purpose.

Of course a software is needed for the Sconi to do its job. Therefore we have developed the Sconi Center, the control software especially for this receiver. It makes it possible to easily accomplish even sophisticated jobs with a minimum of configuration. It is possible to control as many applications as you want, for example Zoomplayer, PowerDVD, ACDSee or Winamp.
That´s not all. Also important global system parameters can be controlled comfortably. This includes the mouse pointer control with adjustable speed and acceleration or the configuration of one or several sound cards. You can turn off the PC with the remote control, turn on or off the monitor, change tasks or lock the PC with one click. For more details see the description of the software here.
The navigational possibilities are almost unlimited and go far beyond of what a regular
DVD-player is capable of. As a configuration-example we have used the popular Zoomplayer

With Zoomplayer it is possible to choose the film or the MP3 file on the television, because one can conveniently access the hard drive or the network.

a movie by using the task-switch feature, or produce a MP3 list with your remote control.

All in all it´s not excessive to say that Sconi Center is probably the most capable
and easiest application for remote controlling at this time. But get your own impression
about the program, it can be downloaded for free in the download area!
